A Review of SWAT Model Application in Africa

The soil and water assessment tool (SWAT) is a well-known hydrological modeling that has been applied in various hydrologic environmental simulations. A total of 206 studies over 15-year period (2005–2019) were identified from peer-reviewed scientific journals listed on the SWAT website database, which supported by Centre for Agricultural Rural Development (CARD). These categorized into five areas, namely applications considering: resources streamflow, erosion sedimentation, land-use management agricultural-related contexts, climate-change model parameterization dataset inputs.
